Nothing could be further from the truth!

Let’s break down how you can run profitable retreats with even a small audience - just like we do.

Our membership programme currently has around 30 members (and growing - we’re aiming for 100 this year!). Even with this relatively small group, we’ve turned retreats into a major income stream and a powerful growth strategy.

Here’s how:

1. Immediate ROI

Last week, we announced our annual membership retreat. Within days, 6 spots were snapped up!

With just 8 spaces total, we’re confident the final 2 will be sold before the end of January.

Profit Strategy: The retreat was priced to break even at just 3 bookings, so with 6 confirmed, we’re already in profit.

Once we sell out, we’ll hit our target profit, but here’s the real kicker:

We expect to at least double our profit from upsells and cross-sells during the retreat!

 

2. Maximising Revenue During the Retreat

Here’s our strategy to make retreats even more lucrative:

Offer membership upgrades.

Promote exclusive 1:1 programmes or tailored solutions.

Upsell attendees into additional retreats.

Leverage the sense of community by offering a follow-up retreat with the same group.

Remember: Never run a retreat without having your upsells in place.

 

3. Boosting Visibility and Membership Growth

Our retreats aren’t just about profits - they’re also a powerful growth tool.

Here’s how we’ll use this retreat to grow our membership:

Pre-Retreat: Social media teasers to create buzz and a little FOMO.

During the Retreat: Highlight the amazing activities, excursions, and connections happening in real-time.

Post-Retreat:

  • Video testimonials and glowing reviews from attendees.
  • Recaps of the incredible experiences and content shared
  • Stress the exclusivity: membership is required to attend!
  • Briefly open the cart to enrol new members.

Most memberships or coaching programmes don’t offer retreats. Hosting one immediately sets you apart, boosts your credibility, and makes your audience take notice.
