Your Christmas Escape at Casa Torreta Blanca
No cooking. No hosting. No cleaning up!
Perfect for couples, solo travellers and friends.
Someone always ends up carrying the load at Christmas!
Yes, we’ve been there… and we expect you have, too!
Let’s be honest, the pressure of Christmas is rarely about the big day itself. And most people arrive there, tired.
Weeks of preparation come first.
- Finding time to meander (who has time to meander?) around the supermarket for inspiration
- Cleaning the house from top to bottom…we don’t need to say any more.
- Hosting and possibly welcoming a whole bunch of people into your home. Staying for…how long?
And all the other stuff to consider…
…From turning the thermostat up and down to make sure everyone is warm enough or not too hot, to board games or no board games!
Step into this version of your Christmas…calmer, slower and with zero pressure
Shaped around what feels good for you
Start with a freshly prepared breakfast, Spanish-style, followed by a stroll in the Almerian hills under wide skies in the winter sunshine.
Feel the tension melt away from your shoulders as you enjoy a relaxing massage or facial, then settle down to read, listen to music or simply sit on the terrace and do nothing.
Maybe a trip to one of the nearby towns to visit local belens (nativity scenes), keeping an eye out for the caganer – said to bring luck for the following year.
Before heading to your room and getting ready for dinner and an evening by the fire, or treat yourself to an early night to catch up on some sleep and be ready to enjoy tomorrow.
Christmas at Casa Torreta Blanca is about choice, simplicity and zero pressure
It’s perfect for those who are searching for a calm and relaxing Christmas with some quiet socialising and no demands on their time and energy
- Solo travellers
- Couples
- Friends
Please note this stay is not for:

Join us at Casa Torreta Blanca in southern Spain
Our beautiful Spanish farmhouse is in rural Almeria, surrounded by rolling hills and mountains with lots of opportunity to go for a stroll or something a little more energetic, if that’s what you prefer.
The space is small enough to be personal and large enough to do your own thing! All rooms are simply furnished in Spanish style. Light and comfortable, with king sized beds in each room, each with a private bathroom.
December days can be bright and warm, so that you can enjoy time outdoors or some sightseeing before cooling down in the late afternoon, signalling it’s time for a hot chocolate or perhaps an Irish coffee around the fire.
Country walks, fireside chats and a few days spent in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
